Session Recap 03/29/12

After resting and recovering in town you made your way back to the Ogres' Den. You made your way back to where you killed the first Ogre and found eight giant rats gnawing on the Ogre's body. You managed to kill the rats and proceeded back around and into the first Ogre's room. You found a secret door on the south wall and Baldemar forced it open tripping a poison needle trap. You made your way around the twisty passageways and through a small room killing another five giant rats along the way. You made your way through the room and into the twisty passageways on the other side to the room where the second Ogre was. Alembic put the Ogre to sleep and you took his head. You found a Steel Key on the Ogre and a locked Iron Chest in the SW Corner on the Dias. Anselm and Brugor Each took a key and and turned them in the locks. Unfortunately Brugor was a little faster with the Brass key so a Fireball trap went off destroying the chest and its contents as well as killing Anselm. The rest of you took Anselm's body back to town for burial and the Ogre Head for the bounty.

Session Recap 3/22/12

Nessa mysteriously departed for parts unknown. Baldemar recently arrived from far off lands and agreed to join your group to continue the hunt for the two Ogres. You returned to the lair and continued the search. You took the Southeast door and followed the passageway around killing a giant rat along the way until you came to a large room that held eight giant rats. You managed to kill the rats but two of your party members got infected by bites from the rats. After finding six gems and a secret door, you headed back to town to get cured. The cleric agreed to cure your infected members for 500 gold donations each. The gems sold for 30 gold. You attempted to return to the lair the next day but ran into a group of twenty brigands also traveling north. You rode back to town to warn the militia and the mayor though a couple of you took arrows to the back. You healed up and rode back the next day to find the bodies of the brigands at the place where you left the road to head to the lair. You discovered a trail of bits and pieces of their armor leading to the lair. You returned to the lair and continued your search for the Ogres. You came to a room where Baldemar fell into a spiked pit trap as he started to open the door. You fished him out of the pit and continued into the room where you found a giant crab spider. After dispatching the spider, Brugor successfully unlocked the long iron box to discover a staff inside. You continued through the passageways fighting more giant rats along the way until you came to another large room with 13 normal rats in it. You made short work of the rats and took the Northeastern most doorway following the passageway around to another door. Once opened you discovered one of the Ogres. After a close battle you took the Ogre's head and a brass key and headed back to town to recover. The Magic shop owner was unable to identify the staff but instead referred you to the church. The High Priestess was able to identify it as a Staff of Healing usable only by a cleric. The staff will heal 1d6 points of damage per creature per day.

Session Recap 3/15/12

Vaclav took an extended leave from the group to work on other pursuits. A caravan heading into town was ambushed by a couple of Ogres. One of the survivors followed the Ogres to their den and then reported back to town. A bounty was placed upon the heads of the Ogres for 350 gold each. You decided to take see if you could cash in on the reward. You sent out some fliers and looking for a new fighter to join your group and found a lady Elf Fighter/Cleric named Nessa willing to join your group. You set out the next morning for the Ogres' Den. Upon arrival you found the entrance guarded by a giant Draco Lizard. After a rather hard fight Alembic finally put the creature to sleep and you finished it off. With the entrance clear, you proceeded into the cave and found a hole in the floor with a spiral staircase leading down. Brugor tried to sneak down to scout out the lower area but was heard. You were attacked by 6 Duergar Dwarves who were only able to engage you one at a time since the stairs only allowed single file passage. You managed to kill three of them and render the other three unconscious after exhausting all of your healing magic. You proceeded down to the lower chamber and found three gems and a golden topaz hidden in a wall. After exploring the rest of the room you returned to town to recuperate and get your spells back.

Each person receives 250 gold after liquidating the gems and 447 Exp

Session Recap 3/08/12

After Vaclav had recovered from his illness you filled him in on the events that had recently transpired. You then hired Peyton to come along to watch the horses. You then proceeded to Sigyfel's tomb. You entered the tomb came to a locked door which Brugor was unable to pick so Vaclav destroyed the locking mechanism with a hammer and spike. You worked your way around the first corner where Vaclav set off the Scything blade trap, wounding him a little. You followed the passageway around and discovered three intersections leading toward the south so you took the middle one and Brugor successfully picked the lock on the first door there. Vaclav managed to avoid the falling rock trap in the next room, Brugor picked the lock on the next door and you found yourselves in Sigyfel's burial chamber. You shoved the lid to Sigyfel's sarcophagus off and Sigyfel, now a ghoul jumped out and attacked. You managed to dispatch the ghoul quickly and discovered a Dagger and a Sapphire in his sarcophagus. You the proceeded to the western passageway and worked your way through two locked doors into a room with six sarcophagi out of which six skeletons arose and attacked. After a rather lengthy battle, you had destroyed the skeletons and moved on to the easter passageway. You discovered the new lair of an evil cleric and two Orcs in the first room there. You managed to defeat the three of them and found 75 gold coins and 4 pieces of Jewelry. You continued on to the last room which contained six untouched sarcophagi holding skeletal remains. After checking the room you found nothing else of value so you returned to town to receive your reward. After liquidating the Gem and Jewelry and paying Peyton his 10 Gold

Each person receives 753.75 gold and 1067 Exp.

Session Recap 3/1/12

Vaclav had taken ill so the rest of you decided to see what rumors were to be heard about the town. As you headed out there was some shouting coming from the nw area of the village so you decided to go investigate. Upon arriving on the scene you followed the town militia through the crowd to discover the body of a farmer laying on a cart. Someone had found him on the side of the NW road out of the village about six miles out. The Farmer appeared to have died in a rather frightened state with an expression of absolute horror frozen upon his face. Whispers of the name Sigyfel were heard from the crowd so you decided to probe further into the situation. You discovered that Sigyfel was an evil sorcerer who had reportedly died centuries ago and was sealed up in a tomb about ten miles outside of town along the NW road. Ramiro, the current town leader made his way onto the scene and subsequently offers you 150 gold, horses and whatever supplies you need to go see if the tomb has been opened. You accept the offer and take one of the town guardsmen along with you to investigate. You arrive at the tomb to see that it has indeed been opened but the guardsman is too frightened to go down into the crypt with you so you decide to return to town with your report and collect your reward. On the way back you run into a group of eight skeletons who appear to be heading towards the tomb. You ride around them avoiding getting into mele range and make it back to town without incident, Ramiro offers you 300 more gold to return to the tomb when Vaclav has recovered to clear out the evil once and for all.

Each person receives 96 Exp and 40 Gold.
